About

Creating art has always been a part of my life. If I’m not drawing or painting I’m thinking about it.

In college I was a Fine Arts Major, but ventured into music. I’ve had different occupations throughout my life. The game changer came when I traveled extensively through Europe and was so inspired by the Masters. Painting became my focus.

I fell into painting dogs after drawing little caricatures of my first rescue pup. My new companion gave me a whole new perspective on life. Now I live with 3 rescues; 2 Bichons, ages 11 and 15, and 1 crazy 5 year old Beagle. Dogs are much better than TV, they are their own little entertainment center with eyes that touch your soul. It is so joyful to get up in the morning and dance with my dogs. And yes, they do smile.

I work from photos and if possible I love to meet my subject. Whichever the case may be, I focus on their eyes and expression to capture their essence on canvas.
